After many years of running horse riding for Scripture Union Camps, Liz and her husband, Glenn, started Brumby Run Outdoor Education in Beverford, Victoria, where many people gained their first experience of once wild brumbies and many people learnt to ride.
Hands on Horses was conceived during Liz's time as School Chaplain at Manangatant P-12 College. There she implimented Equine Facilitated Learning with at risk individuals, and groups.
The Braid family left Victoria in 2017 for Liz to take up the position of Head of Equestrian and Agriculture teacher at an independent school in Gympie, Qld. The Gympie weather didn’t suit Liz or her horses; Africa and Wills were sent back to Victoria as their Qld. Itch was unmanageable.
The Braids have now settled in the Stanthorpe / Granite Belt region of Southern Queensland / Northern NSW where once again they are running their own horse business.

We adopted our first wild brumbies when pregnant with Grace. At 7 years old she was assisting with horsemanship lessons. At 8 years old she rode her first breaker. At 15 years she trims the horse’s feet and assists with all things horsey.
Farm manager and groundsman, Glenn helps with things as needed.
